Occam's Razor, formulated by  William of Ockham (who shaved regularly),
 can be stated as
"non sunt multiplicanda entia praeter necessitatem"
which translates to "entities should not be multiplied unnecessarily".
In simpler terms, the simplest explanation is usually correct.

This is a personal website.  I have used the nickname "Occam" online, which is the simplest explanation why this is Occam's Web.
